차창 밖을 스치며
눈에 잡히는 자작나무 숲.

국경을 넘어
서쪽으로,
서쪽으로...

나는
이 길 위에 있다.

기다려 주지 않는 풍경에게
카메라를 든다.

풍경을 잡으려는 것이 아니다.

풍경을 보내주려
셔터를 누른다.

A birch forest
slips past the window,
catching my eye.

Across the border,
westward,
westward...

I am
on this road.

I raise my camera
to a landscape
that will not wait.

I am not trying
to capture the landscape.

I press the shutter
to let the landscape go.

끝없이 펼쳐진 곳,
풀결이 바다의 물결처럼 일렁이는 곳.
나는 그 물가에 서서
내륙의 바다를 건널 준비를 하네.

하늘의 손길로 빚어진 그곳으로
나는 길을 떠나리라.
천사들의 발자국이 땅에 새겨진 그곳에
나만의 작은 보금자리를 지으리라.
높이 솟은 성채 같은 바위들이
드넓고 푸른 계곡 앞에 무릎 꿇는 그곳에서,
내 모든 생각은 그대를 향하네.
깨어 있을 때의 희망이자
잠든 동안의 꿈인 그대여.
