영원을 여행하던 그대,
그대의 영혼이 바람 가득한 이 세상을 만났습니다.

그대는 푸르른 하늘과 휘영청 달빛을 바라보며
세상 모든 것을 밤낮으로 곱씹어 봅니다.
하지만 그것들은 봄날 꿈속에서 다시 꾼 꿈처럼 아른거리기만 합니다.

바람 거친 이 세상을 만난 그대,
그대의 바람은 무엇인가요?

부귀와 영화를 누렸다면
그대의 바람을 이룬 것인지요?

사람과 이야기하고 가슴 따뜻한 기쁨을 나눈다면...
술과 색과 오락에 빠져 지낸다면...
그렇게 이 거친 바람들에서 돌아설 수 있다면

그대의 바람을 이룬 것인지요?

your spirit has come
upon this world
filled with wind.

You gaze
upon the blue of the sky,
upon the full and luminous moon,
turning over all things
day and night.

Yet they only waver,
like dreams
dreamt once more
within a dream of spring...

You who have come upon
this Wind-Roughened world—
what is it
you seek?

If you have held
wealth and honor in your hands,
was that
the fulfillment of your wish?

If you have spoken with others,
and shared a warmth
that fills the heart...

If you have given yourself
to wine, to desire, to fleeting pleasures...

If you could turn away
from these restless winds—

would that be
the fulfillment
of your wish?

이 풍진(風塵) 세상(世上)을 만났으니 너의 희망(希望)이 무엇이냐
부귀(富貴)와 영화(榮華)를 누렸으면 희망(希望)이 족(足)할까
