나는 어디서 왔을까...

내가 해외에 있을 때 외국인으로부터 가끔씩 듣는 질문이 있다.
"Where are you from?"

그저 입버릇처럼 대답한다.
"I'm from Korea"

국내에서 누군가 그리 물으면 내가 태어나고 자란 곳을 이야기할 것이다.
부모님이 내게 물으신다면 당신들로부터 왔다고 할 것이다.

내가 나에게 "어디로부터 왔나?"라고 묻게 된다면...
뭐라고 대답해야 할까?

글쎄 나는 어디로부터 왔던 걸까?

Where do I come from...

When I am abroad, I sometimes get asked this question by foreigners.
"Where are you from?"

I just answer unconsciously.
"I'm from Korea."

If someone asks me that question in my country, I will tell them where I was born and raised.
If my parents ask me, I will say that I came from you.

If I were to ask myself, "Where are you from?"...
What should I say?
