그날, 이 연못을 거닐며
저를 향한 마음이 이 꽃과 같다고 말씀하셨지만
이내 지는 꽃을 보며 못내 서운했었습니다.

헤아리지도 못할 세월들이 흐르며
궁궐을 받치던 돌조차 바람에 흩어졌지만
그 꽃은 여전히 이렇게 피어 있습니다.

돌도 바람도 이 여린 꽃잎보다 약한 것이었습니다.
꽃잎 위에 얹어둔 한마디 언약이 세월을 넘어 이곳에 있습니다.

That day,
walking beside this pond,

you said
your heart for me
was like this flower.

I was quietly disappointed
watching it fade.

Uncounted years have passed.
Even the stones that once held the palace
have yielded to the wind.

And yet,
this flower
still opens here.

Stone and wind—
they were more fragile
than these tender petals.

A single promise,
once laid upon the petals,

remains,
having crossed the long silence of time,
to arrive here.
