* 바다, 곁을 걷다

그는
바람이 불면
바람결에 파도를 맡긴다.
그리고
바람 없이 움직이는
너울을 품고 있다.

그는
색을 가지지 않지만
깊은 푸른색으로 비친다.
그리고
가장 낮은 곳에서
세상 모든 빛을 담고 있다.

그는
알 수 없는 흐름을 타고
모를 곳을 향해 흘러간다.
그리고
멀리 바라볼 수 있는 눈에게
지나간 흔적을 보여 준다.

나는
그의 곁을 걸으며
자꾸만 질문을 던진다.

그는
아무렇지 않은 선 하나
무심히 그려줄 뿐이다.

When the wind blows,
he entrusts his waves
to the breath of the wind.
And
he holds
the swell
that moves without wind.

He has no color,
yet appears
in a deep blue.
And
from the lowest place,
he holds
all the light in the world.

He follows
an unknowable current
and flows
toward a place unknown.
And
to eyes that can see far,
he shows
the traces left behind.

I walk
beside him,
and keep asking questions.

He
simply draws
an unassuming line,
as though it were nothing.
